Isn't this a commercial link? To me (a non-platinum club member) it is apparently the exact same screen that I get every time I try to access a PC-only forum, which is telling me to either register, login, or get the hell out. ;)

Btw.. not trying to down on your enthusiasm or anything, it just seems like a promotion to build PC membership should be linked from a public area. ;) I would like to see what's up, but I need a public link.

I guess you need to register to get the free temporay account activated. I'll find out for you. This is a special DAZ offer that PC-members can offer to non pc members so you can test-drive the pc membership for a while. Once the test drive time is over, you can decide to continue to paid pc membership or not.

Thanks aeilkema. I've had troubles getting DAZ to accept my registration for their store in the past for some reason, so please don't think I'm being mean to you or about the site or anything. (I REALLY don't want to get mired in that controversy... everyone has an opinion, so I'll just stay away from the whole issue, thanks). I really would like to give this free thing a shot, though. :)

Yes I think you have to be a member of Daz3D because when I used the link I was logged in but had to retype my password.
I just bought 7 products, each to under 2$ and I saved 108$ You have to look around in all the categories because it isn't every product that belong to platinum you can find by clicking on that section. I've been lurking on there site for quit some time and had added both platinum and non platinum products to my wish list. I wanted the dress and the headpiece and I couldn't find that under the platinum section, but under clothes it was as a platinum purcase also.

I couldnt get the ten free things, but I suppose that is only for paying members. I couldnt get into the members only forum either.

duanemoody - I think that must come from somwhere else. All I have got from Daz3D is my order confirmation. I had absolute no problems getting the limited Platinum club membership. I was/am a normal member who had bought stuff at a regular price before.

Personally, this isn't really fair to us PC members who don't want to push it on everyone else. This person didn't bother to mention all the crap they get from DAZ in exchange for you clicking this link.

yup for each new member they snag from this, they get a voucher.. wonderful huh? please in future make this clear, otherwise it's dishonest. we may want to click on the link of someone we know and are friends with rather than have a stranger get the benefits.

Awww ... Khai. I was almost sure that aeilkema would benefit from this, but - so did I. I have no problems with that at all. It's my choice if I want to joing PC after the trail periode has expired and I can't get a "pain" anywhere if aeilkema gain something from that.

In the end, I may not benefit at all from this. If all people who use the link, use there free Limited Membership only, buy all the pc items they like and decide not become a pc member at all, I will not gain anything at all. So, it's a great chance for people and I wish I would have had this chance before becoming a pc member. It's a great way to test drive the DAZ PC Club and see if it's for you or not. If people decide not to become a member after all, I'm not gaining anything at all and they didn't loose anything at all (except for the money they've spent on pc items), but will have a nice number of items in their collection.

Don't mind being messed with at all :) I'll remove my above reply too! When I read this DAZ promotion thingy, I was slightly ticked off by it. All my friends that use Poser are already PC members, leaving me no chance to offer this to anyone. So I came up with this idea after thinking for a while.

well if I knew that this link would give you something I would have clicked on an online friends link rather then yours. I am not saying this in anyway to be offensive to you but just to let you know. No where in your origional message states that this is the case.

Well, it only gives me something if you decide to upgrade your free membership to paid one. Sorry about not telling it, didn't mean to do any harm with my post really.

I got excited, then went straight to DAZ to look around (without clicking your link). Unfortunately, they just don't have much that grabs my attention, even after 2 years of existence.

me neither I may finish getting the animals the buck looks nice but I know that it is dated, as do the story book and dragon skeleton, but again they look a little dated. I was going to get some v3 and mike clothing but they are all so styleized that they are all but worthless to me. I think that I will just keep working in trueSpace and make my own.
