I just got a message saying it's been moved elsewhere? Honestly, some of us only read the Poser forum anyway. Is it worth trying to hunt for this message?

It's another DAZ ad for PC members. They moved it to the product showcase forum.

It was posted by a Renderosity member, not a DAZ employee. It wasn't an ad, technically speaking. If that was an ad by Renderosity's defnition, then so should be every other mention of products made by members, as in the recent thread where someone asked about toon males, and several members posted links to or news about various products. I don't really have strong feelings about this, but do find it odd that DAZ is singled out for this sort of treatment when links and references to other commercial venues and products are allowed. DAZ doesn't advertise in this forum.

Is it worth trying to hunt for this message? Well the hunting is made easy by using the link in the first post. If you're thinking about becoming a DAZ platinum member or are interested in it, it's definitely worth a look.

...or just go to DAZ and see what they have to say. I found the message sorta odd and suspicious, coming as it did not from one of the DAZ regulars. Not that I continue to harbor any suspicions, but I didn't click it when it first showed. (Well, that, but mostly because I'm dead broke, and I've used less than half the stuff I got on my last Platinum Club spree).

You could go to DAZ and see what they've got to say, but you won't get the free trial through them at all. They only offer it through their pc members, that's the way they've choosen to run this deal. So, you won't see this announced by them most likely. Not my fault....

Actually, it is announced over there on the Daz site, and while going to Daz will not get you signed up, reading what Daz says about their promotion will help you understand and choose wisely. The person whos link you click does benefit directly from your click. I read and chose to participate, however, I also thought about who I wanted to benefit from my participation.

The person whos link you click does benefit directly from your click???? Please explain to me how he/she does? I have a number of people using the link and I haven't benifited anything from it (yet). If they decide to become paying pc members I will benefit.

Sorry, you are correct aeilkema. You will only benefit if they join PC Club. I apologize for the miscommunication. THe point I was getting across was that the original poster looking to get a bunch of R'osity members to click on his/her link was likely hoping for a windfall from people they didn't even know. That isn't strictly a bad thing, but folks here might like to have some idea of what they are doing by clicking. I was really tryin to encourage folks to go and read rather than just click that link blindly.
