Hi, does anyone know a program or a method to convert/read .max objects to/in vue (if there is one)? thx Wintersherz

Unfortunatelly, as far as I know, theres no method how to convert max to other format except 3DS Max. .max is proprietary format. I know that Deep Exploration can convert it, but you must have 3DS Max installed too, because it calls external library from it.

And if you already have Max, you should be able to save the model into a format Vue understands (like .obj). I don't know any way to convert a max file without using Max.

Can gmax do it? I've never tried, but I've heard it's a freeware Max without the fancy stuff.

well... one of the fancy stuff missing is the support for saving in other formats. gmax can only save files in its own format.
