Aye, Bryster, I tried to make it in Bryce a year ago, and found it nearly impossible to manage after all the boolean mess... Groups, families, millions of objects... This one was much easier and more organized. Took me three days total, so far, but really only about 5 hours spread out. EIther that, or you're implying that I should try that Winged Program, instead...? (heh heh)
Of course not! Try SILO instead! But if you do, you will be double-damned and condemmed to the lowest reaches of hell, well, perhaps a level or two above Bin Laden......and Saddam of course, then there's Adolf, Stalin,..er.....oh yeah! Thatcher, Bush, Blair. Oh, can't forget Pol Pot.....

I decided to do something different, and started modeling the spacecraft "Starfarer" from Vonda N. McIntyre's books, "Starfarer", "Transition", and "Metaphase". It's a huge spacecraft, with a nearual comptuer system called, "Arachne", which lets any of the people aboard connect through their minds alone. The two cylinders are roughly two kilometers long, and rotate opposite each other to create artificial gravity (centrifical force). There are no cabins in the Tubes, people just live in houses, and there are platns and small lakes and dirt and all that good stuff. The other tube is used for growing plants and animals, and is called the Wild Tube. The big extensions coming out of the rear sailhouse are the Starfarer's Stellar Sails, which it uses to achieve faster-than-light travel, and it also has conventional thrusters for in-system travel. So I modeled it all in Rhino. Now, I'm off to Bryce to do some texturing and make a good scene for it... What do you think? Any critiques on the model would be much appreciated, before i head off to "paint" it... Thanks for looking!
