Hi, I posted a similar message to the Poser Technical board and someone suggested I post a message here too. I'm working on a program to make realistic motion blur effects. The results can be much better than certain image editing program's motion blur filters. My version is more in line with the photographic concept of blur, so the results are more flexible. I'm writing this program with Poser in mind, since it is ideally suited for it. I wanted to know if any Poser people (or Bryce people!) would be interested in this program. It'll probably be "going beta" in a few days and I'd like some comments or suggestions from people who would find it useful. I'll post when the beta is ready, if anyone is interested. Yes, we are interested! This would be a really great improvement in the potential of Poser animation.

I would be very interested. Usually rendering penalty is very stiff. Animation is time consuming.

Just for reference, the Poser Pro Pack, which will be available shortly, will be supporting 2D motion blur for both single frame and animated renderings. We should have some examples posted on our website later this week. Steve Cooper Curious Labs, Inc.

Hello all... Good news, my program, Blur Distiller, has arrived! It is in Beta form currently, and I need YOU to help me iron out the bugs so this program can perform at its full potential. Please download and try Blur Distiller and let me know of any comments, suggestions, or bug reports you may have. This program works with images made in a variety of programs, not just Poser (although Poser gives great results). It is for single-frame output, although you could make animations from its output. Hmm, a movie-blur program sounds like my next project... ;-) Anyway, I humbly offer this Beta to the Renderosity community. Please let me know what you think. Sorry about that, it's been a long day. I will change the page tomorrow. For now: Windows 95/98; almost certain it will run on Windows ME, NT 4, and Windows 2000. 64 MB of RAM or more is suggested (the more, the merrier). Pentium or better. Runs well at 300+ MHz. Slower than that... depends on your patience. The file is small, around 250 KB. You will probably need significant hard drive space to get the most out of it, though. ;-) Try it, I'd be very interested in what platforms it does NOT run on. ----Craig
