Subject: Hair tex/trans maps scare me, please help

anyone who knows where a tutorial, or is any good themselves, please help. I know the steps to take but i just don't understand how you know which direction to paint in. My hair always comes out with crazy line all over the place. So if you can help, please do.

It's not you, the problem is most of the hair that comes with Poser isn't mapped all that well, and some parts of the map will be two places on the object, other parts have lits of mesh represented by only a small part of the map. One answer is use a 3D paint program like the one that comes with Poser 4, but strokes will still "jump' to other places. Very fustrating!
