Hiya All,
Thought I'm not a regular Vue user as I only have the original freebee, I regularily view the Vue as it were and as such have become a LARGE fan of deevee of the Island...dunno which one, but we write. As his last posted image mentioned the hurricane on it's way, and I've seen no posts since I got concerned and wrote him an e mail...this is his response..

Instant Message from deevee: Thanks for your interest. The island did not do well at all. Personally we lost part of our roof and had a lot of flooding. Lost a lot, and it has not stopped raining so repairs are slow in coming. The whole island was affected , so we are berrter off than most. some folks have not roofs or houses and lost all thier worldly possessions.
I do not have any phone connections as yet only cellular. we got electricity last week. The insurance adjuster came this morning. so we are making progress slowly. My good friend who has a connection allowed me to post this note. Please pass on my best wishes to all my friends. Thanks again and stay healthy.
Joe

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Hi Bobby, it is only some month that I join the Vue communitiy, but I felt the same way as you, when deevee didn't make new posts after his announcement of the hurricane. Thank you for giving us news about deevee. I'm glad to hear that he is physically allright and I whish him and the ones he loves all the best and that they can return to a normal life as soon as possible.

Yes, absolutely great to hear Joe and family are ok. Several of us have been trying to contact him via phone, and found out he only has limited capability right now to get info out. Hope to see him back in the gallery soon! Thanks for passing on the IM.

I am so pleased that he is alright. I have thought of him often as I live in SW Florida and we've had our share of problems too. I am relieved to hear from him. Give him my best. -Lin

Glad to hear he's okay. Was wondering as well. It took us quite sometime to get back from the hurricane here. I was basically just north of landfall for Frances and Jeanne, so we got quite a brunt of it. Good news... ShadowWind
