Subject: What happened to quicktime?

Hi everyone- Even though I have QuickTime Pro, for some reason the option to make a poser animation in quicktime format is unavailable. I wouldn't have noticed except I used to be able to do it, and After effects allows you to interpret QT movies at 32-bit to be interpreted as Prematted, an option not available to AVI. I am running on the most recent poser update 4.03 (I believe). Any idea why the option is missing? Thanks.

Hmm..I was never able to export to QT with any version of Poser4 on a PC (QT Pro3).

QT available in Poser 4 on Mac... I'm not given the choice of AVI, though.

that is strange. I was always able to do it until I upgraded.

The poop as I understand it is that Microsoft's been quietly sabotaging efforts to keep QT compatible with Windows (so as to encourage Microsoft movie formats), and CuriousLabs got fed up with it. Mac users can still export QT and AVI.

Well, I have never been able to get QT to function properly on any version of Windows. My main complaint is that the picture and sound are out of sync no matter what I try.

If this helps you can import QT and export to AVI with Pro.

to my knowledge Poser 1,2,3,4 on the PC side has never exported quicktime movies. Only AVI. I'llhave to double check that when I get home from work JanP
