I have two independent harddisks in my main box and the laptop networked to it as well. All my model files and images are duplicated on each drive. My poser runtime directory is backed up on CD as are my bryce texture and mat files, same for C4D.

... like me in August, sigh. :( I found a little app called R-Studio NTFS that worked like a charm and recovered at least 80% of my 120 Gigs (yes, I said 120) loss after I formatted and re-installed XPPro. It's worth to take a look. You can find a free-trial version on sites like www.download.com or c-net or similar. S.
