THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Simple curved meshes in Bryce

Just a quick question;

Is there an easy way to create simple meshes (10-20 polygon)in Bryce with arcs and curves (I'm looking to make simple leaf shapes with trans maps)?

Or should I just use another program and import as an obj. file.

The intention is to create simple but effective jungle type undergrowth by clumping these together.

Thanks in advance

hmm...i don't think so, your best bet would probably be creating them somewhere else and importing. I could be wrong, but i think that the closest thing to what you're looking for is just 2d planes with textures applied.

Could try using the terrain editor.

Something like that would be pretty easily done in the "W" program, or in the "R", or "S" programs. They make good companion apps to Bryce.

Wings is a very easy-to-use free 3d modelling package.

Free, my favourite four letter word ;). Only 2 Meg too! How do people do that! Now another learning experience... Looks like the sort of thing I can use with the UV mapping functions and all too.
