I wanted something with a lot of color and simple. I know its very simple, but I just liked the idea.

Looks very cool, especially after the photoshop filter.

The boat is made in 3D Studio and the water textures are from basic Bryce 5.0. I just changed the size and rotated it a bit around. I dont have the accurate info here with me (I do my bryce at work) for the water. I just messed around with it. Usually thats how I come up with some good stuff, just playing around. Havent played with Bryce for long, maybe 1-1.5 months now. Thank you all for your response. The second pic I wanted it to look like a washout pic with good object edges. I am gonna mess around with Photoshop filters a little more. Thanks all...

Well, I think the 'watercolour' effect looks more like a CANVAS effect......but I love the water around the ship and of course the ship itself.

that sea is gorgeous!! but in my humble opinion the ship is too detailed and with few lightsa ans shadows. it has a strong contrast with the rest of the image... but that sea still remains gorgeous!
