Guys i'm posting this for my girlfriend(Ehlana) who is a member on here but at the moment she can't connect to the net until we get her a new modem either saturday or monday. It's her first real WIP and would you believe she tackled an under water one all by herself, no tut or advice from anyone. Now she wants advice on anything that should/could be done to make it better. Before you say anything on the water colour she wanted me to let you know she is trying to get a brackish water look, the kind those fish live in. PS: please be kind to her, i have to live with her guys :)

The fish look really uniform, if there was something she could do to make them look less like their clones of each other, it would help quite a lot. Rotate some of them differently, tweak with the textures on a few of them, i don't know exactly what, but other than that it looks really good. I still haven't conquered underwater images.

I think fish of this kind tend to group tighter together and in greater numbers. Cloneing isn't the problem here. Ehlana: Get Lunar to introduce you to caustics. That'll help you get a more watery feel to this. Then of course there is the question of bubbles and turbulance. These fish are moving about and would therefore disturb the water. How to get this is for some of the other guys to deal with. You've made a very good start here. KUTGW!

Get Lunar to introduce you to caustics. <--- yeah right you introduce me to it first :)

she is messing around with bryce trying to get some smallish bubbles made to use in it and she may have a way of forming turbulance but will play with that later(can't wait to see this).

Slakker we both agree with you on the fish looking like they are cloned.
Strange thing is if you know anything about the Discus fish(called that in Australia) you'll find they tend to swim together like that, almost look like they have been cloned and when they swim around they very rarely seperate from each other, they are also a very skittish fish. I know that because i had 6 of the Turquoies Discus in a 4ft aquarium along with 3 bottom feeding catfish.

It's hard to find a red leafed plant growing in brackish waters. They need strong sunlight that doesn't penetrate dark water. See if she can Boolean off the fins, Then duplicate the group and reverse the operator. That'll make the fins wave able. And as mentioned, a little variance in the textures would help with the cloning.
