WHOA...It's been QUITE sometime since I've been around THIS forum. LOTS of new er...um..."FACES" A big HI to ALL!!!!

So here ya go, I've been going back to some of my old pix and "messin" around with some of 'em in Photoshop. Here is one that I've been working on(this is the first bit of post I did, basically the original except for the sepia coloring and upping the contrast a bit)

(goto my next post to see the final)

Thx!
Joe

Here's the final, which I cropped a bit, then used stamp and heal functions to remove some of the distracting stuff...I like both version, but am kinda torn between the two. Again ANY feedback greatly appreciated! Joe

both are rich and delightful, but for me, the first one holds so much more interest. The things you took out were the things my imagination jumped on...like that little leaf with the horse face...like that sihouette below the hand which reminds me of a frog jumpin.... we're all different in how we see the world. for me, what was distracting to you was stimulating to my imagination!! just my two cents.... thanks for posting this wonderful image...both of them! sheila

for me, i liked the weeds in there, the darkness of the hand seems a bit too much, maybe just layer a lighter shadow of it? :]

I tend to agree I prefer the first one, the second looks a little bland without the reflection and plants

First one too. The second shows too many cloned lines where the reflections were. One may not know at first glance not having seen the first image though.

First one for me as well - It gives the image a "story" However, the ripples in the water are wonderful - when I first looked at them - my mind saw a footprint. AS if a lover had tossed a dried flower in a pond, a flower that was given to this person by someone who had broken the trust of love. Very powerful imagery! Dee-Marie

Thanks for ALL the great feedback. I think you all validated my "gut" feeling, that the first one shows more detail and interest.

With the 2nd one, I was trying to focus on my daughter's hand and the ripples more. Looking back at the postwork now...it justs looks so barren AND seems way more noticable for some reason.

Thanks again!

Joe
