Hi everyone! Wow, was I surprised to see so many Battletech fans out there from my previous posting :) Didn't know there were so many of us here in Poserland. So, here's the second in the series, this time it's a medium-sized mech, a Bushwacker with two paint schemes again (one from the house of Steiner and a Northwind Highlanders Mercenaries) Have fun!

Dam i just love these...Thank you so very much...

xantor ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 2:21 AM

I don`t know what Battletech is but I like this kind of figure, thank you.

Fredy ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 2:30 AM

Seyla! Started reading Battletech about 20 years ago, bought and played all games - anyone remember Mechwarrior 1 from Activision or the Crescent's Hawk Series? ;) I knew Pawel Czarnecki's mechs for quite a while because they are simply the best models around! Seeing them poserized is wonderful! Thx Jon and Pawel for making these available!

Richard T ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 4:00 AM · edited Sun, 17 October 2004 at 4:00 AM

Thanks once again, Jon. It wasn't 'till I looked at them in Poser that brought home how big they are.

Wonderful ! The Bushwhacker is one of my favorites (to play) due to its speed. Thanks bunches!

onimusha ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:53 AM

Dude, these mechwarrior models are so sweet. They pose up so nice, it hurts... Now you know the one we're all waiting for... Madcat baby... Madcat... I wonder if anyone's going to be modelling the armor from Appleseed... that'd be super sweet as well...

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:56 AM

Yeah, the Madcat has a certain intstantly-recognizable look to it but lets not forget the Shadowcat (also one of my favorites)!

Dave-So ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 11:14 AM

right on John..i too ..but from mechwarrior..just awesome pc gaming there :) Thanks much...this stuff is great...and then you can use the bots from DAZ as well...should make some interesting scenes

This is so kewl Jon'. A few more, I can work on little videos. Been a fan since I was in my teen years of Mechwarrior (Battletech), and now I am nearly 40. :-)

Thanks for the feedback everyone! This took a bit longer, I started out trying to get one out a week but I was delayed. I'm almost finished with the next one (not saying what!) and then I promise to do the Madcat after that :) I assume you will all have finished your first missions requiring the medium mechs and gathered enough C-Bills to get the Madcat!!! Oh, and rw2psr, my bad, I should have said they're in RDNA's Free Stuff.

rw2psr ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 12:33 PM

In not sounding like a complete idiot, but almost a complete idiot, but i'm missing an obj. file, am I supposed to have one? If so where would I get it? Thanks in advance..

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 12:34 PM

"(not saying waht)" Arghhhh! Take your time Jon. No one is going to rush great freebies!

Jon ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 12:38 PM

rw2psr, you don't need an .obj - I assembled it inside Poser 4 so it works without one. But if you need to use it in another 3D program, just export it as an obj from Poser. Hehehe, Chuck, a hint: It's name is also that of a mythological creature :)

onimusha ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 12:46 PM

Is it the compassionate republican mech?:)

Khai ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 12:48 PM

not bad at all! tho.. the one 'Mech I'm waiting for.. the Highlander 90 tonner, guass rifle and Jumpjets. I wanna do the Highlander Burial** baby, yeah! **Highlander Burial - using the jump jets to take off then landing on a lighter 20-30 tonne 'Mech. splatsville....

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 1:26 PM

Hmmm, not up on all the names. Names differ according to IS or Clan. Wouldn't think it would be a Thor as I wouldn't call Thor a creature. Nor Atlas. So, I'm wondering, Chimera?

rw2psr ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 1:36 PM

Thanks Jon, was trying to bring it into Daz Studio, So went to Poser, works great, thanks again for the great product :)

Yeah..press on it..will not work due to Website Problems. But it will work if you copy and paste link onto Address line. Give it a few tries. Host to website is fixing site "G's". Should be functioning well tomorrow.

Oh..I have to more mechwarrior videos..which are longer. But I do not have a upload webpage.

But I have other videos made from others on my Renderosity homepage. Have to copy and past links onto Address line. Some might work and some might not. I have to look into this. Get the Zip files. Need Divx to play.

Yep, GOT IT. Downloading 16 MB now.

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:50 PM

Well, that's awesome video! So, not to insult...did you make that or somehow capture it from the MW4 game?

Robo2010 ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:51 PM · edited Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:54 PM

Some of video captured playing online, and some of the other videos I had to use a software program to uncompress to access some of the videos from all other mech games.. Took months.

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:52 PM

Yup? You mean captured and edited?

Robo2010 ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:55 PM

Captures from Mechcommander, Mech2, Mech4, and online play. Then music as well, all cutted, editted,.

Robo2010 ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:57 PM

Only wish I can get an upload page, so I can show my other two videos I made, which are more better. Editted from Mech4..their like 35mb each.

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sun, 17 October 2004 at 9:58 PM

I used to play a lot (in Clan MW2 on the MS Gaming Zone) but I quit. Wifey, MW2-Valkyrie, played quite a bit longer than me and I think she has every version/game/add on. Not to mention "Teamspeak". Makes me want to go back out to the site again. Nice video!

"The Chimera's next and then the Madcat!" They all look great, Jon, many thanks. Any chance of going "old school" and doing a first-gen Shadowhawk (my 1st Mech) or a first-gen Marauder (my 2nd Mech)? Thanks again, Walt Sterdan, Freelance
