Check out what some of our boys overseas did to their helicopter.
Some Afghan is probably freaking out right about now.
The story is: this very special Mi-24 helicopter is presently flying in Afghanistan, where it is no doubt causing quite a stir.

Anyone up to creating a model of this? Maybe JHoagland since he does some awesome helicopters.

It's not actually a US 'copter... it's Hungarian ;-)

wow, what a shame it's not American...that sure would kick @ss bigtime...but in reality, betcha good old Bush & Company wouldn't allow it...it might not be "politically correct" and might frighten some poor innocent civilian ;P

Say what you mean and mean what you say.

The interesting thing is that the original author of this thread obviously just has copied and pasted the images as well as the text from the 'Urban legends' site which was later mentioned in this thread, but left out the information that this is not a US helicopter, even if he should have known better.
Uhm.... how cool is that....

I knew that as soon as I saw 'MI-24', the Hind (I think) is Russian..

HOWEVER, once the Blackhawk helicopter comes back up at DAZ< I know EXACTLY what I'm gonna do with it, heheh!

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

Cool! Not only is it artistic, it's damn good camouflage, too; the actual shape of the Hind is tough to distinguish, and it does a great job of blending with the background in that top photo.

Mother Nature - tough to beat!

VERY COOL! I know some people (ex-military pilots) who will REALLY LIKE seeing this!

cherokee69 ( ) posted Mon, 18 October 2004 at 9:16 PM

spothmann, I haven't even been to that 'Urban legends' site. This was actually a message sent to me from a friend who also thought this would make a nice Poser model. I had copied the message I had gotten and pasted it here. All I know is it was an awesome paint job and thought it would look really cool on a Poser model.

Charlie_Tuna ( ) posted Tue, 19 October 2004 at 11:01 PM

That awsome paintjob was actually done for an airshow a few years back. I'm wondering how many man hours it took to do that work :-)

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.
