I don't know if this is the right place to post it... if it's not, please tell me to go away and I'll obey. I thought to post it here because I saw recent threads about it (actually, it was from this forum that I learned about the challenge at all). To complete it, I'm using XSI Foundation trial, so I will have slightly less than 30 days to complete it. But I think it will be a great way to try to learn something about the package. So, if some of you want to take a look and, of course, criticize the hell out of it, you're welcome. I know you're Brycers, but I am (was) a Brycer too and I'll always be, no matter what prog I use, and I know all too well your competence and your skills... ... so that, as per usual, I'm posting my WIPS here even if it's almost one year that I don't use Bryce anymore. @AgentS: If you think that this is not the place, tell me and I'll comply immediately. Stefano

Nah, post away. I REALLY like seeing how and what Brycers use when they aren't using Bryce. I really think it is going to give DAZ the insight they want to further Bryce in 6.0 and on DAZ has contacted the makers of Wings3D, no guarantees there, though. AS

DAZ has contacted the makers of Wings3D - AS, are you allowed to say that? Or are you about to mysteriously disappear? DC, I think I get the idea, It looks real cool. One comment so far, you keep changing the color coding. Really confused me until I realized the people attacking had turned into the palace.

It was mentioned already in the DAZ forum.

Not wanting to offend everyone else who's entering, but they better pull their socks up!! That really is a story on a grand operatic scale....

edit to add - interesting news about Wings. Only drawback might be that it was very closely modelled (if you'll pardon the pun) on Nendo. Wonder how IZware would fit into the equation.

Just went to have a look at the IZware site, and judging by this ** they're starting to develop Nendo again

**August 2004 - Just before Siggraph 2004, Izware LLC made its final payment to NGC Corporation (Tokyo) for purchase of the rights to Mirai, Nendo, and Game Exchange. While Izware, formed by several of the original developers of the software, had been the exclusive maintainer and distributor of these products for the past several years, this role had limited the kinds of things it could do with the software. This purchase, the fulfillment of Izware's original agreement with NGC, achieves our long standing goal of complete ownership of the rights to Mirai, Nendo, and Game Exchange. By purchasing the rights, we can now ensure that we will have sufficient flexibilty to develop, restructure, and reposition the products in the future.
Mirai, Nendo and Game Exchange were developed by Nichimen Graphics (Los Angeles), building upon code originally developed by and purchased from Symbolics, Inc. (Cambridge, MA) in 1992. They were acquired by NGC in 2001.

Wonder how much they're going to charge for Nendo this time round? It was very good value compared to other modelling packages when it originally came out ($100)

Thanks, AgentS... it will be a pleasure to have the "family" look at the WIPS. Plus, I'm using this challenge to learn XSI, so it will be fun (I hope) to see where I will surely crash into something I just don't know how to do :) @xenic101 : you're right. Darn, now I'm over with those sketches. I just hate them. :) I'll begin roughly blocking the scene out and get rid of my 6th_grade drawings :p S.
