hello Alex. looks nice. You might wanna try adding a tap, for the water to run trough ^^. Good start. CZ

Rayraz ( ) posted Wed, 27 October 2004 at 1:44 PM

It looks pretty decent so far :) but yea, it kinda needs the tap bit :P If after the tap is on it you still feel something's missing in the details you could try add little things like these blue and red spots on it to show which knob is for the hot water and which for the cold, or a cord with a plug on it or something like that :)

First idea be to do the nose (from where comming watter) on down of faucet, and the thing fore open the whatar cold/hot (I dont know whats name of this =( ) do up of him , two on one .... but now I anderstent preferable do this individually =)

Oh those silly hot and cold indicators, I can't count how many homes I've lived in or been in where they are on backwards. The one that says hot is really cold and visa versa. I don't know what country you are in, here we get ads for stores and they show things. If you could get an ad for a faucet that could help you put the finishing touches on this. There are so many different types of faucets. You've got a good start.

alexsm, find a picture of the faucet type you are doing. (tub, bathroom sink, kitchen sink?) That will help, the picture in my head is usually wrong. And25, the hot/cold indicators are usually a push-in button type thing covering the screw, and they can be popped right out. Whenever I stay in a hotel, I make it a point to switch them around.

Re: xenic101 And then some goofball will switch 'em around so they're wrong again... Just because... Looks around. Wanders off whistling... Re: alexsm It just needs a spigot and some handles. Looks like something that should be rather easy to boolean in Bryce.

You do effect of sweep on youre image and I dont know how to do it on Bryce. I edd image on 2D for show about what I told =)

Rayraz ( ) posted Thu, 28 October 2004 at 10:24 AM

ooh I see what you mean :) Bryce hasn't got a sweep tool like for instance in modelers such as Amapi. In bryce we use booleans. I think Bryster took a torus for the bend part, and then cut away the parts of the torus that he didn't need.

Thank, I understanding now...... what you think ?

pakled ( ) posted Thu, 28 October 2004 at 6:06 PM

pretty good. I'd flatten the torii in back slightly; they're usually just hollow covers for the hole in the wall the pipes come out of. Texture the torii in chrome, and your choice on the rest..I think Wolfie's Den has some metal textures (screwhead, stainless steel, etc), that might work on the actual plumbing parts..
hot's on the left, cold's on the right, and st don't flow uphill
-the Plumber's code..;

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Guys: No, I didn't use a torus. I have some extra primitives that include pipes bent at 45 + 90 degrees. I just used a 90 and a couple of cylinders grouped together. Alex: That's pretty good!
