Subject: Guitar model opinions
Mask-da makes the absolute best guitar models, bar none. He had some free models available for a limited time, including SRV's Strat and a Les Paul. Currently, his store items include a Flying V, Jackson and a Marshall Stack. I have hmann's Strat from when it was on sale at DAZ. It's not bad but lacks a lot of detail in the mesh, the body is a bit iffy, the headstock shape isn't accurate and the neck plate has no bolts. That said, it's not too poly heavy and it renders quite well. BTW, I have no connection to either merchant, other than I have bought their stuff.

3dpmr has a great Rickenbacker and other style guitars in the freestuff here.The link is to a gallery image I posted recently showing the Rickenbacker.
"the millenium guitar by daz is very convenient... like 8 different guitars in just one model! " I agree that it's good for real quick and dirty renders but it's incredibly unrealistic.

Definately Mask da's stuff if ya can find it. Also responsible fer THE drumkit. 3DMPR stuff rocks if yr into older model equipment. Too many great accoustics to mention. My own Warlock bass is purdy awesome, but still incomplete....sorry, but I couldn't resist ;-)

Any opinions on which guitar models are the best? (most realistic, usable, etc.) hmann's Strat Guitar pack caught my eye, but any other comments or critiques would be lovely.
