Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 11 9:00 am)
I could've used this about a week ago ;P Well, I'm here now at least. Note taking time! BTW, it may just be Bob (aka my computer) being stupid again, but Poser doesn't let me select a bone when I have the bone creation tool selected. Every click results in a new bone that is the child of the last bone. To select a different bone I have to switch to a translate tool. ...Yes, my computer's name is Bob. That's even its name on the network. There's "Main computer", "Dad's computer", and "Bob". I think this one is Bob the Third. My computers are always named Bob. Yes, I'm weird ;P
Hi Rachel,
I don't think it's Bob's fault, I think it is Doc's fault because ...
re:" ... Poser doesn't let me select a bone ..."
If you click on a bone and drag, you will create a new bone parented to the last bone selected ... but you already knew that. ;=]
Try this ...
With the Bone Tool selected ...
#1. Click (on a bone)...BUT ... DO NOT DRAG (to select that bone) ...
(if you click and move the mouse even a very small amount ... ...... Uh oh ... we just made a new bone)
... now ...
#2. Click & Drag to create a new bone that is parented to the bone that you just selected in #1.
The song goes like this ...... CLICK ... then ... CLICK & DRAG ... 2, 3, 4
Ok?
cheers,
dr geep

giggle I think it's Bob the Computer's fault, my mouse seems almost as old as me and has seen a great deal of art-type use, and it has a tendency to click when I don't want it to, and move when I'm trying to click without moving. I've been using the same mouse for the past several years (I think it's from Bob the First. More than five years ago o_O ) and it was used when I got it anyway. I haven't bothered to replace it because I want a tablet, and I'll be getting a new computer when I save up enough money, so there's no point in wasting money on a new mouse. Especially when there's two or three extra mice (and moniters, dead towers, SIMM chips, CD-ROM drives, etc...) lying around the house already. ;) Disclaimer: I have nothing against people named Bob, I don't even remember how I decided to call my computers Bob. It probably came from me and a nutty friend of mine while we were high on sugar.
