Hi, the first - i know my english is horrible (i have not learned this, my language is german). Sorry for "not-right" words. ;) Im a newbie to working with poser and i can not found templates for the P5-charakters (i have search in all libraries from the programm-cd and content-cd). Who can help me? I need the male and female template, not this for the kids. Thanks Rabenwald

Get UV Mapper and you can make templates of anything. You can get it at http://uvmapper.com There are also some tutorials here in the Poser tutorial section that tell you how to use it to create templates using UV mapper.

Their on the Hard Drive...where you installed poser.

In the texture directory.

If you are using Poser 5, they are in;

C:Program FilesCuriousLabsPoser5RuntimetexturesPoser5 texturesFigure Textures

You can find em there.

@dbowers22 Thanks, you have help me. But i have see, making a map with P5-Models is very difficulty. For a P5-Body i need 2 (or 3) parts (over and under the hip). With a P4-Body only one part. Now i can make a nice outfit for a girl (if i working many times...) :) @Robo2010 No, in this folder are only the maps for this, but not the templates. Is forgotten in german version? :/ Of a map i can not god making lines and ornaments for a new body-model (cloth).

I have a set of P5 templates in FreeStuff. I believe someone else has been kind enough to make seam templates for them as well - in the same area. And, no, Robo2010, Poser 5 does not have templates for the Poser 5 characters.

oops..sorry...tried to help...realized later...those are textures..not templates.. :-)

@kuroyume0161 The FreeStuff is only non-comercial. I will not "stealing" this, is better, i make it alone. Hm... an i have found, is only the fullbody from P5-woman-clothes in many parts to mapping. The Body (June) can i make to a map in one step. Its okay, i invest time. ;) @Robo2010 Not problem. :) Is not a bug in my eyes. smile Thanks for help all wish to closed Rabenwald

What would you be "stealing" with templates? Are you planning on selling the templates? ;) Using them to create textures, even to be sold, is not a problem (FreeStuff being non-commercial or not). The templates are stored at my website, so Rendo has no say in the outcome of their usage. ;0P

My thought on templates (and only regarding templates) is this: Even if the copyright to the template is exclusively Curious Labs' they are NOT likely to mind the free distibution of templates. My reasoning? (1) They offer templates as a free download on the same pages that commercial models are sold on their sites. (2) You need to buy the model for the template to be of any real worth (or in this case, you need to buy P5). (3) If they give the templates away, people will use them to make textures from them, and either sell or give away these textures. People will see these textures in use on the model, see the increased possibilities of the model, and be more likely to go buy the model -- it's essentially good advertising for the base model. If anyone from CL wants to affirm or refute this, I'd be glad to hear it -- this is just my personal business intuition at work. ---
