Amapi 6 is free in 3D World mag #57. Copies can still be found on bookstore shelves in the US.

Thanks guys, I just thought there might be some simple trick to do the job, but as I see, I'm gonna have to use some other software. I don't live in the US, so the 3D World mag possibility is kinda closed. I'll look at Wings3D and see what I get... Are you sure there are no magical tricks for this? :D Thx. Ike.
exactly, Mark... like you I must be missing something here... there is a preview window at the bottom of the properties tray in the lower right corner of the screen... although it's rather small, you can use the camera controls to zoom in, out, up, down, dolly, etc... no tricks, no plugs for other software...
As we all are at one point... and compared to many on this forum, I still am too! :D OK folks... raise your hand if your a newbie! (waiting...) Come on now... it's best to admit it and move on to the all the fun things we can learn... (still waiting...) Well then... maybe if we offer cookies and milk? ;)

Hiya! Can I model an object (or edit the mesh) while viewing the rest of objects in the scene? When I change the view to the model window to edit the mesh, the rest of objects present in the scene dissapear so I only see the mesh I'm going to edit... I need to fit a shoulderbag to a human figure and I need to view both the strap and the body, so the strap doesn't run into the insides of the body... How can I do it? Thanks!! Ike.
