Subject: Poser is eating my HD

Poser should have a better way to save pz3s. Why does it needs to save again all the characters I already have in my runtime folder? I have pz3s mamooth size (over 100mb!). I have in my HD dozens of Vickys and Michaels and Posettes and Dorks and clothes and etc. resaved over and over again. It would be fantastic if poser would save only the pose, light and camera and a reference to the specific character or cloth in the runtime folder. (At least as a "second option" of saving).

sometimes you have to weed..are all the pz3's necessary?. Another option would be to burn them to CD, and get them off the hard drive..just a thought..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

The easy solution - let Poser grow and grow. My whole Poser space is well over 250 GB by now :o) Just buy another hard drive, they're so cheap these days. :] Fish

If you have ProPack or P5, you can save your files as pzz to save space. Or, if you're using Windows XP (might work in 2k too, don't know) you can set the directory with your pz3s as a compressed folder.

Why not just zip and unzip when needed? Dutchman.

"Poser ate my Hard Drive" - sounds like a bad b-movie, I do agree though - it can be a pain, I just bought a larger hardrive and sulked :D Gonzo
