I saw some kind of example done in Vue a couple of years ago of an old English countryside. The person used color air photos and created bump maps- imported those in Vue's terrain editor to make them 3D, -and then re-mapped the photos on top. The idea was to locate ancient forts and battle sites. The 3D effect helped to indentify ancient roads, which in turn helped show where the ancient camps were. Unfortunately- that's all I know and can remember about it.
Thanks Sittingblue, I checked and I found some posts of Zoon, but unfortunatly his webisite where there were more info is disconnectes. By the way, I guess that Zoon was working more on how to recreate real data (elevation and so on). On my case the goal is different: realize images that look as they has been shooted by the airplane, with the ground that get interesting (by texture, colors, geomotetry of the fields and so on) like in real life. Thanks again. ***Luca aka cinacchi

Greetings,
I need to realize some images reproducing aerial phtography, with the camera almost pointing perpendicular at the ground.
Anybody know some tutorials or have some suggestions, related to composition, materials, terrains, ...?
In the first attempts that I'm doing I'm realizing that it is essential to play well in the atmosphere editor with the value of the fog.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all
