Nice site, but I can't get the links to work for your gallery. It keeps opening the same page. Peggy

WooHoooo.....I almost set my (cyber)feet on fire heading over there. Thanks stonemason, for all your wonderful stuff. Your Level 18 is still my favourite freebie set of all time. Peggy_Walters...which browser are you using? I couldn't get the downloads to open with Firefox, and had to drop back to IE to make them work.

Peggy..what browser? already people are sending me error reports,lol..so if anything doesn't work properly please let me know..I just had a chance to view it on another PC and for one thing the text on the popups will need fixing(too big depending on your text size)I may add some drag handles to all the popups...I've only tested it in IE and made it for 1024 display..I guess I should put that note on the splash page too. just be glad I didn't do it all in flash :o) Cheers Stefan

using firefox your gallery opens the image but also opens a new main gallery window

nickedshield ( ) posted Wed, 10 November 2004 at 8:30 PM

Had no problems using Netscape 7.0. Nice site :)

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

I was able to download with Firefox 0.8 (still haven't installed the new version, Slinger). Just in case it's a link problem, I downloaded the Hellcolumn prop and it worked just fine. I also got a new window (main gallery page) on clicking a gallery image (as well as a new popup window for the image). I know what version Slinger is using, which version are you using Dave8? BTW, thanks for the prop Stonemason =)

Dave8 ( ) posted Wed, 10 November 2004 at 8:53 PM

firefox 1.0

elizabyte ( ) posted Wed, 10 November 2004 at 8:54 PM

Ben_Dover, you should upgrade your Firefox ASAP. There's a big security flaw in the version you're using now. Speaking of which, I can't download anything with Firefox 1.0. It just bumps me back to downloads page. bonni

Already done Elizabyte, thanks for the warning though.

I had already read up on the (supposed worse) security issue with 0.9 so I just held out for 1.0. After being scrod (past tense of screwed) by IE early this year I switched to Firefox and never looked back. In the course of about two weeks I picked up two hijacks and a virus while surfing with IE, which left every exe (including all my Daz purchases!) infected and nonusable without propagating the virus.

I also switched to Thunderbird for email (which is available at v0.9 currently....and kicks ass) and haven't regretted it a bit.

Incidentally the only app that could neutralize the damaged exe's (except the archives and Daz installers) was Panda. Every other AV app I tried/demo'd wanted to delete the file or "quarantine" them. So, for what it's worth, I purchased Panda Internet Security antivirus/firewall/anti-hijack and upgraded my hardware firewall due to that incident. Oh, I had to purchase a couple CD burns from Daz too. lol

I now get a clean report from ShieldsUp and sleep much easier. ;)

Panda, huh.... I might look into that. Thanks for the tip! And I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I never use IE. I'll use Opera, Netscape, Firefox, but not IE. I only keep it on the system to check local files when I'm doing some sort of site design. ;-) bonni

I'm using Internet Explorer. Doesn't work on my home computer or here at work. Same result, just opens another gallery page, but not the picture. Have not tried the downloads since I have all of your great freebies! Peggy

With IE 5.5 the site works great :o) and looks great. I have a HW Firewall, a SW firewall, realtime virus and trojan check, realtime email check, realtime adware and tracking cookie check. Good way to stay clean. You should the firewall and adware logs - sometimes they're longer than my arm lol. :] Fish

WinXP SP2, IE6, latest patches. From behind a Win2003 NAT router/firewall. No problem whatsoever.

I like the SF container... reminds me something. "Give me an R, gimme an E, Gimme a D.... Gimme a RED DWARF GARBAGE POD" Any red dwarf fans? We could use some red dwarf props :)

I stil rewatch that show over and over. I never get tired of it :D "I can feel my files corrupting! Hmmm Ohhh! That's goood!" :p

Figured out my problem with your gallery. I have popups blocked, so I need to hold the Control key down when I click on a picture. Most of the time IE tells me when it blocked something, so I know what's going on. Maybe added a note at the bottom of your page letting people know the picture will be a popup window would help. Thanks! Peggy

Wanted to d/l the Sci fi Container but couldnt. Using IE 6. Site opens fine but downloads page only last two items had selectable images by them, the rest were not even linked to anything.

Peggy_Walters ..there is a block of text saying the window will open in a pop-up under the thumbs. that said though I may be ditching the pop-ups on the gallery images as well as the freebies..it looks good, but seems to be to touchy across browsers :( dallas40m ...I just checked, everything is working for me on IE6,all links are live Cheer Stafan
