but still can't read all that really important information that I'm supposed to read in the merchant newsletter. Email won't fly, and IM's aren't long enough. Don't hold me to anything I can't access.

I can send you any information that you need. Just let me know what it is. Clint

Can't send it to me in an acceptable format, Clint. Email is not acceptable and IM's aren't long enough -- and no, I'm not willing to piece stuff together. Oddly enough, I don't know what info I need, either, as I can't even access the information telling me what I need.

Its a tough spot to be in. Why is E-Mail not acceptable? Clint

Email bounces, email gets blocked, email is unreliable. I just got the first merchant newsletter ever the other day, and couldn't read any of the information that was supposed to be so important. You can't pass info to me, don't expect me to be aware of it and act accordingly.

"You can't pass info to me, don't expect me to be aware of it and act accordingly." I can but it sounds like you are unwilling to accept it. Your actions are what caused you to not be able to access the information. Clint

Clint, the only reason I know you are responding is I'm sitting here waiting for it. No ebots. I get one ebot every now and then. My email addy is correct. I get very little email from rosity. It's not that I won't accept it, it's that you have no feasible and reliable means of getting it to me. And I'm fully aware of that. I'm not asking you to restore my access to the forum, I'm letting you know that you can't hold me accountable for information you cannot get to me in an appropriate manner.

I have a reliable means to get it to you. Sounds like you dont have a reliable way to accept it. Sounds to me like its being filtered by your E-Mail client or by your ISP. "I'm letting you know that you can't hold me accountable for information you cannot get to me in an appropriate manner." I'm not sure what information I will need to hold you accountable currently but if changes are made you will have to follow any new guidelines and yes it will be a pain since you will learn them second hand. um, try not at all. it appears that all your methods for communicating are based on either using the inaccessible board or a system of communication that has been crippled by persons outside of your control or mine. You need to develop a different system for communicating these changes. My ISP's filtering -- or anyone's for that matter -- is not within my control. Reliable would be actively reaching. It is not, ergo your statement is flawed. There is information you apparently want communicated to me -- I clicked a link and cannot access that information. That is poor planning. If you expect the information to be used, you should likely make it readily available -- you have not. Perhaps you should have a locked forum -- to which only admin can post but to which merchants have access -- in which this information can be imparted.

Our methods are acceptable. Your personal actions are what made the information unavailable to you. The process will not be changed. Clint

No, sir, they are not acceptable. I can't access the information which you state I need to know. That seems pretty cut and dried as an unacceptable situation. I am aware that my actions prevent me from accessing the merchant forum. That is not the issue -- please stop trying to make it so. The issue is I've been pretty darn patient and done what I can do to try and get these notices, they contain no information themselves. Instead, I am presented with a link to the information and simply expected to glean it. YOu want me to have info, we need to find a way that works to get it to me. If the suggestion for the forum isn't acceptable, do you have one that is? I'm looking for something that works, not for something that doesn't.

ynsaen ( ) posted Thu, 11 November 2004 at 7:57 AM

Actually, just had another suggestion come to mind., Since I managed to get this one, maybe I'll get another -- perhaps you could actually include the information in the merchant newsletter instead of providing dead links. Then at the least all I could whine about is that I'm not getting the newsletter.

I wont be changing the procedures to accomodate a situation that you placed yourself in. If you find our current system unacceptable and unworkable for you to broker your products with then I will be more than happy to remove your products. Just let me know. There is nothing more to discuss. If you wish to continue to broker with us in your current situation thats fine but as I said I wont be changing anything. Clint

no, I see you are not. Sorry -- read too quickly. Well, then my original point stands. You cannot hold me acocuntable for information you cannot get to me -- for whatever reason.
