Hi all, I' working with Poser for several years now, somehow I never found out how to fix that annoying bend knees problem. Right now I'm working on a project where Vickie's knees are bent in a very strong way (see picture). But no matter how hard I try I can get the thighs from poking through the shins. :( Isn't there a chance to make them look right? Please help, I'm getting nuts!!! Many thanks in advance, Phil

Select shin then open the joint editor, select bend then adjust the joints, repeat for thigh i doubt you can fix this much bend 100% but you can improve on it.......Steve

The only way to get the legs to behave realisticly is to have a morph that "flattens" the thigh and calf when they come together. A professional program would probably do this automatically, but Poser opperates on more of an "action figure" level rather than "flesh". :)

You might try talking to Maveris at RDNA, he recently posted a thigh fix for a sitting V3 and a shoulder fix morph. He may be interested in attaching this one too..?

You can do a certain amount in the Joint Editor, and magnets may help, but in the end you are probably going to have to rely on postwork for the final touches.

Many thanks for all those helpful comments. I tried the joint editor, however I wasn't able to get the result I was looking for. But my good old friend Photoshop did a fabulous job. If you're interested in the result you can find the final version here. Cheers, Phil

The secret is partly the Joint Editor, and partly a touch of cheating. The above pic is the PT (possibly the worst knees in all Poser-dom) .. as Daz released her (top) and after a bit of work on the joints (lower pic). No postwork .. just rigging. The cheating part .. don't forget you can move the shins sideways. Limits are set at 0 or very small values, so you'll have to turn Limits off. But a few points to the side can get the calf muscle in view, and that's usually easier to postwork than if the thigh is hiding the calf.
