Subject: Text in V5, something we haven't played with

I figured text was going to be a bunch of blocky letters, but it's really cool. Can use fonts etc just like any art program and you can texture inner and outer bevel. Just a play pic

yep the text tool in v5 is pretty powerful and versatile, i realy like it. and you dont have to stop with just using it for text, you can easily use it to create objects and shapes.

Yes, really INTERESTING possibilities there! Not only have I not tried it- I don't even know where the text feature IS! But- you've made me curious- so will have to go find it...

just click the T veritas :) the key to it is customizing the texts using the bevel/extrusion and material tabs, and of course using the right font or creating your own font.

My first experiment- using the font "Latha"- when you type "VUE"- you get three nice hollow stone blocks.

This would be a great way to build a castle- all out of "VUE"'s...
