Subject: OT-I just HATE it when......

Someone adds me to their Favorite Artists list but never EVER posts a comment on my works! Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!

You'll live. 'Tis better to be a favorite without comments, than to be commented all the time by someone who says your art sucks. Or at least that's the way I look at it. :)

Ahh well..what the heck anyways! I'm sure I'll live, Paul..just get so damned frustrated at times, y'know?

I think that "favourite artist/picture" thing is the biggest compliment, I love getting them more than an individual vote on an image but it is comical when you go see if they`ve commented and it takes half an hour to scroll to the botttom of the list.

Do artists need to get inside their fans minds as well now? Sounds like control issues.

I'm quilty of doing that. I tried to set up an email account totally dedicated to gallerys and I havent' been able to keep up with going to peoples accounts and commenting. There just aren't enough hours in the day. You wouldn't believe how many renders you guys post. I've easily got over 300 to look at and thats just the regulars here. I'm sorry Ardiva and to all the others here who I haven't been able to comment on. (and I know its probably not me that you're referring to since I did this a month or two ago) but I'm still quilty.

I keep doing that..and have the same excuse as Ang. I used to be able to go thru pple's images.. and but now..with work on..i find myself checking posts only whiel having coffy in the mroning..or like now..at nite..when I coem home from work. It's a struggle keeping up with posts now..esp as deadline is hitting close by. Terribly sorry about that..

I'm also guilty of doing that. I don't comment on artwork that I'm incapable of critisizing. Things like "Wow, great artwork" or "Love the colours, keep posting" is kind of useless to an artist IMHO. If an artist is in my favourites, its because their work is consistently superb.

Thanks for the comfort, kids. Much appreciated. I feel better after a good nites sleep. :)

Guilty! But then I do tend to vote for an image and not comment.........

Well, I don't add anyone to my favs list unless I have commented on their work. But that's just me and how I operate. :)

electroglyph ( ) posted Mon, 15 November 2004 at 12:08 PM

I tend to vote but by the time I'm there there are usually three or four comments about, "Love the colors. Great sense of perspective, Thought provoking, etc." With only half a dozen ways to say the same thing it doesn't seem worthwhile to make the same comment again.
