For those of you that are interested that we've started a monthly newsletter that you can sign up for as a member of our Website Forums. This publication will include:
  • Tips & tricks
  • Info on coming products, freebies and club items
  • Featurettes on current products
  • Poser-related news
  • Occasional Surprises :D

We've done this an Open Group that all members can join (or leave) at their discretion. This will be a text-only newsletter as a general convenience.

Barring unexplained phenomenon or a natural disaster, the first issue will be out today!

The Forums can be reached through our website (http://www.netherworks-studios.com) through a "Forums" Menu item on the left.

You can also visit them at their own address (http://www.netherforums.com) but it is intended to work within the main site structure.

Well, it has quirks. It won't let me join the mailing list until I log in. It won't accept my password. It says that the email address isn't the one for my username, so won't send me a new password. :sigh: I should be in your system already.

It doesn't like the password I was given before either.

Ditto.

eek - hmm... could be a phpBB cookies problem. Try going straight into the forums with this url. If not, I'll manually add you if you'd like - you'd have to go back in and change/add your info. You can post or PM if you'd like me to do this. I have this happen with IE, notably using Avant browser. It's out! Enjoy. If you haven't received it or would like a copy, shoot an email to joseph@thenetherworks.com and put the word "Newsletter" in the subject header. However, monthly mailings will only be done through the Newsletter/Groups option of the site forums footnote: for anyone having problems with the forums - getting in an so forth... I'll do my best to correct the problem and send out another run of newsletters if necessary. I haven't oddly hacked or modded the phpBB - it's rather vanilla at this point.

Nope... same problems.

It won't let me log in and won't send me a new password either. Username should be the same one I use here and everywhere else (except yahoo), and I use the same email for everybody, too.

Wierd.

Carolly Speaking of logs... thumping on logs to communicate is easier, and if the log is rotten or breaks, you can always throw it into the firepit. :grim little smile:

I got ya set up and I apologize for the hassle. I'll get more familiar with the back-end of things. What browser/os do you use?

Thanks! I use IE6 in an earthlink shell to access the 'net. All my art is done on the Mac, which isn't connected at all. :) Carolly

I couldn't login at the first link you gave. I was able to use the second link and I registered there. Not sure if this adds me to the newslist or not. Using Mozilla 1.7.1

Shadownet,

Yeah, I'm debating now to just have the forums pop-up in a new window by default. I'd much rather have it inside the site but phpBB is notorious with regards to browser cookies which is where the login info is stored locally.

I don't want folks to be discouraged from the forums so I'll make those changes today.

You'll have to sign up for the newsletter (there's a Newsletter/Groups menu item at the top of the forum) - I want it to be completely voluntary.
