Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 02 4:55 pm)
5) Walk designer. Can I make a horse walk on all fours with it? I am loading the cr2 file, but still end up with it walking only on it's hind legs?- - - - - -
What we need in Poser 5 is to be able to make a movie pose of one sysle of the animal walking, or a man swimming, or whatever, and to be able to apply that pose and tell Poser "repeat n times" or "repeat until frame n".
HATS : You can place hats on long female hair. Take a look at the preview image of Gautier's textures a few posts above yours! Just rescale them on all axes as needed..it just takes a bit of practice! NECKS: Besides magnets and morphs, have you ever tried to resize the neck on the Y axis after you have posed it? Looks a lot more natural and you might achieve easily what you are after.. FAT PEOPLE: I have no idea if you've found Fairywoods yet, but there's FATSO there - on the very first characters download page! He's got a body that might be suitable for a Roman-Greek wrestler but I have no idea if that will suit you! Keep in mind that FATSO is Poser 3 figure - done about a couple of years ago! :) KNEE AND ELBOW PADS: Zygote gave some time ago a set as their weekly freebie. Too bad you missed it! Maybe they still have it on sale..I'm sure their price won't be unreasonable! If you can't afford to buy it..knee and elbow pads are not so hard to make out of primitives. OR you might spawn props of the specific group you can create on the body at the exact size you like, using the help of the Grouping Tool right within poser... WALK DESIGNER : Covered much more professionally and accurately than me by others already! :o) renapd

"I would like to place a beret on a long haired female, but have been unsuccessful" Gee, I give away a trade secret - to fit the beret I included with the Hollywood hair I put a magnet on the hair, played with the magnet zone so it was at the same angle as the beret and extended down about as far (make it thin in Y), then scaled the magnet on X and Z a little to pull the hair in like a hat would, put the beret on, adjusted the magnet zone and scaling so most all the hair was under the hat (a little can show to simulate hair in front of the hat), saved a morph target for the hair, saved the beret as a parented prop (so it goes on the same place.) EZ!

Wow, judging from the previous posts on this board, the combined community knows all. I'm hoping you can help me on a few points. 1) Hats. Whenever I place a hat on a figures head, the hair shows through in places. Is there a way to avoid this? I would like to place a beret on a long haired female, but have been unsuccessful. 2) Necks. I have made many attempts at making wrestlers, and while I end up happy with the faces, the necks always seem to ruin the figure for me. I can't seem to re-create a muscled neck. Whenever I get the right width/thickness, where the neck joins the body gets screwed beyond recognition. I have tried Morphworld to no avail. I have Mico's P4 Man w/muscles, but found it unsuitable. I have also tried modifying many of 3D-CC's figures, also unsuccessful. Any ideas? 3) Fat people. Are there any good free models of fat people (with a fat necks) anywhere? I have found a few females, but no males. 4) Knee & elbow pads. Anyone seen these anywhere? Texture maps are too flat, and bump maps don't bring them up enough. They would also have to be able to bend, being parented to knees and elbows. 5) Walk designer. Can I make a horse walk on all fours with it? I am loading the cr2 file, but still end up with it walking only on it's hind legs. Well, that's all thats been bothering me this week. Thanks to any who take the time to help me. Also, a thanks to all who provide free models. When I started getting them, I would e-mail the artist and thank him, but lately there's been so much to get that it's been hard to thank everyone. Your efforts ARE appreciated.
