I seem to remember a few months ago that someone was working on a Tom Baker Doctor Who figure for poser, and I was wondering if anybody out there knows what became of this. I keep checking the forum for an update, but found nothing. The last I remember the artist was looking for a scarf, and included a picture of the model at the time, which was fantastic. Anybody know whatever happened with this? I would love to get my hands on that model.

Hi Folks! daeve, there were a few of us working on a Tom Baker figure--I was one of them. The image I rendered, which included Xanxost's Daleks, was up at my website for a while before I rotated out of the gallery. It's basically the P4 dork with the Curly Hair prop and a some face morphs . There may be a few others at this forum who have better models, so I'll give them a chance to respond before I post my image to see what you think. Peter (Dr Zik)

I've done a Tom Baker image, but I never kept the PZ3. That was with the P4NudeMan. I haven't tried it with Michael, which might be more versatile in morphing the characteristics. I might give it a try. I never did find a good scarf prop. I tried to use the posable cloth prop, but it's hard to bend in the right directions and it looks sort of angular and stiff, rather than curved and soft. I would still eventually like to do images of all 8 Doctors, but finding the appropriate costumes is very hard. So far, no one has made the right kind of flared frock coat and I'm not a modeler, so I can't do it myself. If there's an ambitious artist out there who can do it, it would be greatly appreciated. If I could find a decent photo of one of the Doctors whose coat shows clearly, I would post it for reference. Melanie

Perhaps you were thinking of Cobalt's 4th doctor? Again he wasn't happy with the scarf, and had issues with the coat - but we're *trying* to fix those with new models. could do with more help from modellers for the "Doctor Who Project" though :)

If he gets the scarf right, I want it! :-)
