Sooooo many programs were to start and is there any that are trial types? Help me figure this out.

Adobe.com has a 30day demo of PhotoShop CS (i'm kind'a partial to it myself ;))

There are also programs like Dogwaffle and Pixia worth looking into. Paint Shop pro. And Photoshop LE comes with a lot of printers.

Wacom tablets come with Photoshop Elements. Graphic tablets are great for drawing.

Corel Painter is worth a look too, though you need a tablet to get real benefit from it.
