I have not tried it myself, but somebody (don't remember who) said that if you put the Poser4 program file in the same folder as your Poser5 program is, Macinstaller will work if you have Classic installed on your computer.

Another possibility is discussed in the thread in the link. Look at message number 9 in that thread. Kaveman's program works fine and I use it quite often. Be careful though, it will overwrite files with the same name in the destination folders, no questions asked. It doesn't overwrite any folders though, just fills in new content if the folder name is the same.

Yes I f you put poser 4 or Propack in the poser 5 folder and use the change poser option in the file menu to set the poser 4 app as your poser location, MacInstaller will then put the files into the main Runtime folder of poser 5. wander

This is the only thing I have classic for. I actually had to install 9 the other day because of it. My poor brand new G5 didn't come with it installed. Now I have to muck it up with OS 9... Oh well it's on an external hd anyway, no os9 drivers instaled on the internal ones.

Hi guys, I was the one who put poser 4 inside poser 5 but that was so my textures would be found by poser 5 without asking all the time. as for installation. macinstaller is useful for downloads that have all the geometries andposes and thingsnot in their separate folders. You can run it in classic only. However it is not useful for modern files that tend to havev more than one pose folder eg with the mats. there are various ways of installing in one click. You can use the ditto command on mac terminal. Or you can unzip using a shareware program called zipit which can extract into your runtime. I like ditto and one of the guys here has made a little GUI for it. His name is Kevin Bracey. It's free. It merges the runtime youdownloaded into the runtime of your choice. ie it merges the contents of your folder rather than overwriting your folders of the same name. It will overwrite files eg a .obj if the name is identical to the .obj in the folder you're merging into. Steps: Download Zip and put on Desktop (or place in a Temp Folder if required) Double Click, to unzip Check contents Ditto into Runtime Love esther

MY ONLINE COMIC IS NOW LIVE

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!
