Subject: Distance Render with Paint Shop Pro 5?

Help! I'm trying to apply a distance render using Paint Shop Pro. I think it has all the necessary abilities: Alpha channel, layers, etc., but nothing I do seems to work. I either get no effect, or the alpha channel just literally turns things white/grey, etc. Does anyone know the procedure to do this in PSP 5? If it won't work, does Photoshop LE have the necessary capabilities? Thanks!

I'm not clear on what type of distance render you're trying to do. If you have your Bryce 4 Manual, look on pages 424 (Distance Render) and/or 437&438 (Adding Depth - render a scene as a distance mask - using Photoshop). Hope this helps. :)

Unfortunately, I don't have Photoshop, but I have Paint Shop Pro 5.0, which has many of the needed capabilities. I have read that section, and can't seem to reproduce it in PSP, although I think you'd be able to.

I'm not up on how to use masks - but I would suggest going to this site: http://www.mardiweb.com/web/psp5/psp5.htm There is a mask tutoral on the lefthand menu. :)
