Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 1:16 pm)
uhm, not sure if this counts, but i am working on converting a novel i've been writing into a comic/graphic novel, using poser. once i get some real progress on it, i'll be posting it stage by stage on a website. Its been a tedious process trying to customise each character and find/buy/build the unique clothing. Also, there's another guy here who does comics. Sandmarine, i think his name is. I made a shirt for him, for one of his characters. E.D.
Mr. X, the creator of MorphManager does comics. They're definitely adult but not crappy unless you consider all erotica crap. The dude's makin' money on it so it must be professional. You can see his stuff at superheroinecentral dot com. Look for the link thst says The home of Mr. X. Can't post a real link here since it's an age restricted site.

Brian Haberlin (http://www.haberlin.com) has done a pretty good bit of comic work with Poser. He did a special edition of Vampi a few years ago and has done some covers for Hulk, Iron Man, etc. There is actually a case study about him and his work on the Curious Labs site -- http://www.curiouslabs.com/article/articleview/62/1/374/. He posts things in the gallery here on occasion -- http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Y&Artist=bjhaber. I got the chance to talk to him for a while at Wizard World in Chicago a couple months ago. He said there is a lot of demand for comics done in Poser because of the look you can achieve with it. He is apparently training the guys in his studio so they can begin using it as well. I'm actually in the process of doing artwork for a comic of my own that I'm hoping to submit to Image in the spring. I'm doing the initial art in Poser and then manipulating it fairly heavily in Photoshop to get the effect I want. I'm still getting up to speed on everything but it seems to be going well so far. Jon

Trying out the comic strip format in the galleries. First handful of dailies are online. All Poser, no T&A, no gore, no viewings - almost *LOL*Seriously, the comments have been most kind. Nip over and have a look in your next coffee break, I have a hunch that the humble old strip format might offer a lot of advantages to more talented creators than yours truly ;o)

I just LOVE comics done in poser!!! I'm the webmaster of the biggest comicjam-site in the world (www.globalcomicjam.com) - and I just got a page for one of our jams today, done in poser (http://www.globalcomicjam.com/images/almostreal/almost_042.jpg) ... and before that I did one myself for the same jam (http://www.globalcomicjam.com/images/almostreal/almost_014.jpg). Now, I was wondering if anyone out there know of any real, serious and professionel comics done in poser online? And ofcourse the links to them! ;) There is plenty of crappy porn-poser stuff ... that's just not intresting!
