Trying to make the best out of this image. Started out very dark. But I think I can salvage it. Would like any and all critique.Starting with original. However they are downsized to 600x500 and less than 200kb for this thread only.

I like the first one more, the colors just works for this shot. You have the green moss and the yellow of the leaves that just work so well against the stone and dark water. Now if you are going for an old looking shot, then the bottom one is bang on for that. I just like the color one the best though of all three.

I personally LOVE the second one - It shows the details of the water splashing on the wheel ... On my monitor the first and third images are too dark, and everything is muddy - hard to tell at first what the image was. The second image - really "tells" a story! Gives the image mystery, I want to know more about the old mill water wheel. Perhaps you could post a lighter version of the first image?? Dee-Marie

I agree with Dee. The second one is my Fav. The other two are just to dark, and muddy. Even the second one the water is a little to dark (for my taste).

agree, i would go with a lighter version of the first... desaturated... like a tinted ink print version :]

I prefer the 1st but less saturated and with less digital noise ... in my humble opinion :) . Carlos.

I have a better idea. I will be back in that area this week or next and will re shoot this, using light and different angles. !!!Thanks so much for all the input.!!!! I can only play with an image so long then it becomes boring.
