I went to install SP2 today...it is extracting automatically to drive E, which is NOT where windows resides. I canceled the install, as I was afraid to hit finish. #1. why is it doing this, #2. How do I get it get to install on Drive C...the main Hardrive? As it's NOT giving me any options as to where to install it. TIA

It apparently "installed" some files on E(even though I can't find them) But I dared to hit finish & proceded with install to correct place. Go figure.

Wow... brave soul. I'm not gonna install SP2 until they get the bugs out. I've heard horror stories of what it can do to your computer. Good luck and let us know what does and doesn't work anymore.

All done...and ALL my programs are working flawlessly. The only bug a boo...was there pop up blocker. I turned off StopZilla & was using theirs....I got a friggin pop up here >:(....So I've changed the setting to HIGH & went back to using Stopzilla in addtion ~eye roll~

I think Windows XP is just looking for a temporary place to put some files while it does the install. They're deleted at the end. Don't be afraid of SP2. I installed it right away, and it works flawlessly.
