...I finally thought of a theme for the "Fantasy Landscape" challenge.
Pre-post edit: (BTW, that IS this month's challenge isn't it? All I can glean from the forum banner is what October's challenge was. If "Fantasy Landscape" isn't this month's challenge, then I'm even later than I thought...)
As some of you may have realised from my previous efforts, I try to think up scenes that are slightly sideways from the originator's thoughts. Sometimes I find that impossible. With the "Fantasy Landscape" challenge I couldn't come up with anything either. Until today...
I suddenly thought "Wait! Not "Fantasy" as in "Sword'n'Sorcery", but fantasy as someone's or something's fantasy. And a picture came to my mind.
Imagine a landscape made of cheese.
We already have Cheddar Gorge, so why not?:-)
And the Stilton Hills, the Swiss-Cheese caves, the Gorgonzola Desert. And the Edam trees, with their bright red fruit. And as for Emmenthal, Gouda, Red Leicester, Limburger (phew!), Brie.....well, they can have their places too (the "Limburger Pongs" are probably quite close to the Cemembert Runs"...)
All displayed under a cheesy sun in a clear blue sky.
And the Yellow Cheese road leading into this fantay-land. Fantasy for who?...
Picture upon this road, walking in, a cartoon-ish mouse, a pole-with-bag over his shoulder...
..walking past the "Welcome to Muscopia" signs and others ("Cat Free Zone", "No Mousetraps Allowed", "Rodentia roolz" (graffiti)...) - I'm sure you understand.
Ah well, it's just a fantasy, it's not to be (I haven't even GOT a mouse.obj, and there's no way I'd be able to create an entry before the deadline...). Now if only the idea had come to me a week or more ago, I might have stood a chance.. (Post-post edit for spelling mistakes)
Cheers,
Diolma
