Like the title says, im super new, and have no clue...NO FRIKIN CLUE WHAT SO EVER on where and how to get started. Some basics would be great...hell screw the basics please give me all the info you possibly can, i beg of you people. I case anyones wondering I do know how to use Paint Shop Pro (8) but i dunno how ot use layers or anything, have a tablet but screw that id rather use a mouse and pick my nose with the tablet pen, and also know how to use animation studios, and am a very fast learner.

If someone who is an expert at this could give me the 411 on how to get started, thatd be great. Like what programs will i need, etc etc. I mostly plan on creating characters and not too much scenery stuff, and do want to do alot of animated characters.

Id very much appreiciated if the tips could be emailed rather than posted because i check my email more than i would check my pms on here or this thread. I'm not sure what direction or type of help you are seeking- you didn't mention what type of art you like to do, or perhaps look at on Renderosity. Digital "art" can run from actual drawing (Paintshop, Corel Paint) to 3D characters (Poser) to terrain and world creation (Bryce, Vue d'Esprit, Terragen, Mojoworld). Other folks like fractal art (Apophysis, Ultra Fractal). Some create art using combinations of photos/ drawing/ painting/ effects in programs like Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photo Shop. Or Photography. Anything in particular you are interested in?
