Go to the attached link and click the Read More for CITROEN. I hope you have Quicktime installed and crank up the volume. It is ALL CGI (yes dear, even the backgrounds)!

all I get is the flash "loading visa" that does nothing...there's nothing to click on...in both IE and Mozilla..and I have Quick Time

operaguy ( ) posted Thu, 02 December 2004 at 12:17 PM

Citroen spot very cool. I don't know how you know background is fully CGI.... animation is either 100% Mocap (not that there is anything wrong with that!) or 1000% brilliant. I think it is MoCap. ::::: Opera :::::

OK, go to the attached. Click ENTER on the right hand side. Find the CITROEN-Read More link. OperaGuy: I happened to go to to LUXOLOGY.com (makers of MODO as found out by going to the CGNetworks site). At the Luxology site they interview the EmbassyVFX folks and there are the details. Ockham: Processing YOUR visa to enter the site (Its a flash loader screen :)

Even if it's mocap animation, there's always some level of keyframing involved too. Mocap data almost always needs tweaking.

Why do I suddenly feel so inadequate? I thought I was an animator. Know realise I am actually an amateur.

Quicktime Pro = $30.00 and you can do a heck of a lot with it, including editing, midi tracks, etc. Quite worth it. www.apple.com ::::: Opera :::::

I think you may be able to find the movies in your internet cache too.
