THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Looking for a pdf manual of Bryce 4

bredaroos ( ) posted Thu, 02 December 2004 at 2:36 PM · edited Fri, 09 August 2024 at 11:22 PM

Just installed Bryce 4 from the 3D World magazine. Thought that I knew enough of design software to get started - but not with Bryce. I am looking for a pdf manual to download and print. In the mag it is mentioned that the manual is included n the disk, but I haven't found it yet... Who can help me? Jacqueline

I'd check with 3d world web site. There should be a contact URL in the magazine for problems. Have you tried a file search on *.pdf? failing that, it might not show up until installed..but I've had silly problems every now and then (mainly because in the SE US..we get them 2 months late, so usually any 'upgrade offers' have expired..:| If you'd like, go by here, and check out the tutorials for Bryce here..I'm not an expert on 4, but the main things that 5 has that 4 doesn't are trees, volumetric materials, and something else..;) There's also a lot of Bryce tutorials out there..I don't have my list with me, because I'm at work..but I might be able to IM you later with them..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

There should be a manual attached but if not, you can use this one. Although this is for Bryce 5, it can be used for 4 as well.

How's your bandwidth? I have a copy of the pdf on my old Bryce4 installation disk. It's 6.98mb uncompressed, 5.05 as a standard zip. Probably a little big either way for an email. I got WS_FTP installed on my laptop and a cable modem connection.

Thankx for all the help. I found the manual of Bryce 5, but then this morning I tried advice from ysvry and found the right file on the disk. (I was looking in the Windows directory... the manual was one level up, ahum). Danamo, thank you for your offer! Very nice of you. Great that this forum is so alive and active. I am also trying to learn Amapi 6 but there is less material, tutorials and activity than here. Thanks again, Jacqueline

You are welcome! I'm glad that you found a manual.
