I would have placed more on the walls and furniture in the room because of the very nice reflection in the cristmas ball. Allso maybe discuised the lightsource with a lamp of some sort in the roof. Other than that I think it looks very nice indeed :)
i like what you are doing there. Suugestions though, darken the red used for the wine and dull the reflection on it a bit. those things in the right hand corner, if they are ment to be presents try putting a ribbon around each one. Try doing some post work on them as well to make them look like they are rapped in christmas rapping. If i can find the site with the christmas rapping textures on it i'll post the link on here. With the snow globe add a snow covered terrain to it so it looks like the snowman is on snow not a road :) Other than that in my honest opinion i wouldn't change anything else.
Looking at the blank wall at the back, where you have the Merry Christmas, and also at the lighting, wondered if it might be interesting to have just the bottom of a Christmas-y lamp visible at the top of the picture, with cutouts around the edge that threw the 'Merry Xmas' on the wall in light and shadow. Easy to boolean out the letters from a half sphere to make the lower rim of the lamp.
Prezzies now wrapped;
Snowman now got "coal features" and snow underfoot;
There's a carpet (not hat it really matters);
Walls are now individual squares, so that I can get pictures/wallpaper etc. opnto them (not done yet);
Some lights on the Xmas tree (Post-work);
My biggest problem seems to be: How do I get the textures on the prezzies to be brighter on the bits that aren't directly illuiminated (mainly from the front). The contrast there is a bit "Over the Top" (there's already 2 additional lights in that area).
(BTW - I am using Bryce 3; so some lighting possibilities may not be relevant to me..)
But anyway; the pic says it all (or will do..) :-)) ...Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all at the Rendo Bryce Forum:-))
Cheers,
Diolma
