I'm working on a set of Megaman inspired armor for Aiko 3, so far I've got the forearms done, I'm going to hide Aiko's hands under conformed gauntlets and have hide poses to remove the gauntlets so that a variety of smart propped weapon/accessories can be attached to either hand. Also going to make blast prop as well. I figure to have some plastic/metallic textures on the suit and some base bodysuit on Aiko herself. So what I'm wondering is if anyone would be interested besides me?

I would and I bet a bunch of my friends at the anime portal would be as well. Pop over and say high - we're always looking for new anime related stuff for animedoll, mayadoll or Aiko :D

I'll make versions of the outfit for Mayadoll, I don't have animedoll yet, but only the helmet would need refitting, I think. I'll also try to make a version for Rosy Cheeks Lina. There will be male and female chest armor, and if I can make Mayadoll's body approximate the animedoll male form I'll fit that as well. At the very least the Lina version will have both Male and Female.

Mayadoll and animedoll have the same body, it's only the heads that differ so if it fits one it should fit the other :) If you announce this in the dev section of the site I linked to above i think you would get a fair bit of interest :P There's also the Anime Developers Guild in the dev section here :) I'd be interested to see how the gaunlets come out - glove type props are tricky to say the least :D

Well, they'll be more in the line of hand replacements. Aiko 3 comes with hand hiding poses for that kinda thing, and I'll make poses for Mayadoll and Lina. Given there's no male Aiko, I'm going to fit the suit to M3 and M3's Bishonen morph package as well.

While I'm at it, I should mention that this forearm is the first thing I've ever modelled. I expect to refine it further as I get better at modelling.

LOL - first then ever! I can't fault your ambition. Its good to learn doing a project I think, then you have soemthing to show for it at the end. Good luck :)

Here's the first draft of the helmet, I need to bring the bottom part forward a bit. Pity I can't load Aiko's head into wings3d to try and fit the helmet around her there.

It can, but I tried loading Aiko's head and it crashed the program, so I'll live without a reference for now.

Lol - ouch. Obviously a big head :D

well, I've gotten the helmet looking better. Not quite satisfied with it, but I'd like to get the chests and boots done soon.
