I was using a set of chainmail posable figures on a character in poser 4. when rendering, my computer froze. when i went back to redo what I had lost, I get the message "error: runtime/geometries/chainmail/*(objname).obj could not be loaded. Any ideas? these worked fine before. Thank in advance.

Yeah, the RSR got corrupted. Go back to that Geometries folder and find the RSR with the same name as the .OBJ file, and delete it. The next time you load that figure the RSR will be rebuilt. -JH.

This happens to me all the time, you have to go into the folder above and delete the .rsr file (don't delete the .obj), Poser will recreate it from the object file.

The standard precaution is to make all the rsr files in your geometry folder, "read only". This won't affect the way Poser runs, and it will keep the rsr's from being rewritten every time they are used. -SMT

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

Making the RSR read only will effect new GeomSwitching figures. This is because the new geometry resource is written to the RSR when the figure is first loaded. I'm refering to Eve3.2 at MorphWorld. -Jeff H.

Hmm..I didn't know the poser.rsr would rebuild. I don't think I've ever tried it ;-)
