Have a Problem with the new Version of the Royal Carriages from DAZ3d. The Harness didn't conform with the new MilHorse, but still fit to the older Poser Horse like the older Version of Royal Carriages. I post my Problem to the Daz Forum, but get no Answer. Can someone help me please?

Some time ago I also had a problem over there. Mine was with a texture that didn't fit where body and head meet in the neck. It was obvious and clearly visible. After many, many weeks, the artist had been contacted and repaired the problem. But it looked like as if nothing had been done. I compared in photoshop, and the neck hadn't even been touched. I mailed Daz and got an answer back that my standards were very high blahblah and that I could get a refund. And that the item would be removed from the store. The refund was only part of what I paid, and the item is still for sale. Moral of this story: don't expect much help or support. Here at R. you can contact the artist yourself. Over there, they do it for you. As for your item: the P horse is a completely different mesh, so all fitting will have to be done in a 3D app. My guess is that if there are enough people asking for it, it might become commercially interesting to create and sell one. Yet, perhaps there is some good soul who created one in freestuff somewhere?

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

You have to contact sales@daz3d.com or tech@daz3d.com. The forum is usually for users to help each other but not to contact DAZ. You still have to do that per email if you have problems with a product.

I've come across a couple of DAZ items with really blatant texture/UVmap flaws. Not "high standards" -- the sort of error you can see from across the street, at night, in thick fog.

I purchased the Michael 2 CD. Loaded M2, posed him, and went to the libraries to put some clothes on him. I got an error message saying Poser couldn't find the geometry (.obj) files.

I opened the geometries folder and, sure enough, none of the geometry files were installed. I re-ran the installers and, again, none of the geometry files were installed.

I contacted sales@DAZ and described the problem, and asked for help. You know what they did? Nothing. The reply I got just re-worded the problem.

No solution, no help.

Can you call them? I have never had a problem with them not helping on a product I had a problem with. If there is a problem with the install you need to get a refund if they don't deal with it. Marque

This is Renderosity not Daz, why not contact daz via their site or ask in the nuts and bolts section of their forums?

The Michael 2 CD, according to its product page, has both the original Michael clothing pack 1 and the Michael 2 Morphing Clothes pack for clothes packs 1 and 2? The latter was an add-on for the former, plus pack 2, with just the Figure files carrying the morphs, and relied on the original packs for the objects. If you don't have any usuable figures find and run the clothing pack 1 installer, if you just lack OBJs for some of the items those are probably from Pack 2 which isn't listed as included: http://store.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=210.

Let's just say there is a "dirtier side" to DAZ's customer service.
