LOL...with all the sci fi going on in the fourm and being my favOrite subject i had to jump on the band wangon and post this image of some mechs i textured and rendered in bryce..

Gotta love it. Retexturing downloaded models is something I try to do to make them more personal to me in my arwork. Good job. What res are the tex maps??

1024x960 i htink i would have to check..there are alot of diffrent maps on themmechs..took a while to get just the right look.

I think texturing and getting the right look is THE most important job. And this looks very nice :)

Really nicely done overall. A couple of nitpicks: why is there faceting on the lower part of the legs? And you could make the textures a bit different between the mechs by applying different diffusion and bump maps, so they don't look identical.

These are great and all that, but just how practical would they be in the real world? If one of these picked up a foot to take a step forward it would fall over......right?

Lots of 2-legged vehicles in Return of the Jedi. They seemed to move in a believable manner.

Actually by game standards(wich is where thease guys come from)they are all 75 ton mechs,with an internal gyroscope.. LOL just a little b-tech nerd info for ya..hehehe
