Vista Internet productions has a lot of different animals. Not free, but then you didn't ask for free either, so I hope it's ok? :o)

VistaInternet has all the animals you want: cows, sheep, a kangaroo. There are also some animals at PoserWorks.com.

http://www.vistainternetproducts.com/ Some of the best animals you'll find. I've got the pigs, sheep, goats, and flamingos. Boy, what a Nativity scene I can do with all of those!

I dunno. I don't think there would be any pigs or flamingos in the stable. :-) Ernyoka linked to the VistaInternet site in message #2 above. Here are direct links to their product listings: http://www.vistainternetproducts.com/products.htm http://www.vistainternetproducts.com/products2.htm

Well, ScottA created a free posable cow (breed uncertain); not really photorealistic, though. I don't know of any free 'roos, and the only freebie sheep I've found are cartoon figures.

With a bit of scrounging, you can find some free animals. Check out Planit 3D for some dog and horse morphs and a guinea pig. Debra Ross on her own site might still have the musk ox and owl and whale. Didn't Meski do a brown bear? Bloodsong's 3dmenagerie might have something. If you join Traveler's Propsclub ($25/year) his toonish Halloween critters are still in the archive, and he occasionally gives us a realistic animal (luna moth, chickadee, etc.). Carolly

I don't think you'll find free animal models of the quality you want. (Able to tell what breed they are.) It's difficult to make models that realistic. Not very many people do it, and when they do, they generally don't give away their work. There are free animal models at 3dCafe. They aren't posable. Most of them aren't too realistic, and many of them are untextured. But perhaps you could morph and texture them yourself into what you want.

randym77, maybe no pigs, but I'm putting chickens, bunnies and goats in the stable. The nubian goats look like sheep to me. And If I get enough energy and do the standing stone celtic stable, with Rdna's beautiful stones, I wanta use Lyne's grey deer family, a fox and kits and a wolf or two. Maybe Noggin's Raven. Who knows? There's a lovely Celtic myth about St Bridget nursing the baby while Mary rested, that would be cool to do for the celtic one. And it would soothe me own pagan heart as well. If you use flamingos it's possible there's a requirement to put the stable outside South Beach, Miami. At least on the keys. Mmmmmm, Pelicans! Xmas Gumbo! All this cause I can't find a donkey! LOL! What do I know, my last nativity scene, way back in 2002 featured the House mouse. Emily
