I want to do an image of a canyon full of bodies for an image in my fanfic "Pursuit of Loyalty". How can I go about this with out having my computer render a hundred models for a month?? Craig www.electricrain.com/garic

Have you tried a plain with the texture and bumps for the bodies?

Go to Baumgarten Enterprises (the link's here on the right side of the page) he's got a tutorial entitled "cheap trees"...extrapolate on that. I know I saw a tutorial online where a motion picture company did a similar thing and "faked" a scene where, I think, hundreds of warriors were either in battle or running across a plain. Sorry I just looked and can't find it now but search Lightwave or 3D Studio MAX tutorials and you'll probably find it. Good Luck

The warrior scene was done with a plug-in for Adobe's After Effects software. It allows you to layer effects atop video or a still image, but the software is around $700 and I don't remember how much the plug-in cost. Go to Adobe, After Effects, and look under plug-ins...

heyas; if you have painter, render a dozen or so dead bodies, then turn them into an image hose. render your canyon and spray 'em on. oh, you can do this with psp's picture tubes, also. that's what i'd do ;)

I have Bryce 4, Poser 4 and Photoshop 6... can it be done with these 3 things? Oh and not take the rest of my life :) ! Thanks for your ideas...I'm still at the shallow end of the 3d gene pool and any input is great
