One of the tricks which is used is the combination of picture and transparency map. It's common to a lot of the Daz scenery. This is the original picture I used.

I then adjusted the brightness/contrast, and painted out parts of the background, and fiddled a lot, to get this.

That became the basic texture. The prop was a simple square, but it also needs a transmap. In this case it was easy. Tweak the contrast so that only the very lightest shades are shown as white, and everything else is black, and then make a negative image, which looks like this.

The DAZ 3D environments use this sort of prop, a simple square with texture and transmap, for a lot of the grasses and small plants. I noticed the woodland playsets didn't have any branches coming down from above, and knocked this up from a photo taken in the garden. These images will work, but the JPEG compressing may be a little high. The DAZ textures usually have a black background, rather than white. Anyway, if you look at the set in a wireframe mode, you'll see that the Cyclorama has a couple of sections which use this trick, for things such as trees or rocks on the beach. And it's easy to make and add your own simple props, to ass a bit of depth to the background.

There is a great tutorial over at Daz about how to create your own cyclorama textures from photos. I don't recall the name of the tut right now, but head over to their archive and check it out. I think it'll be just what you're looking for. Best Blessings, --Invidia
