Subject: Warning!!

Today I ordered and paid for, by credit card, the Saluda figure, from this site's on-line store. After a lengthy download, when I tried to extract the file I got the message "No files to extract". I have notified Visa that the bill will not be honored till this is resolved. I had hoped for better than this. But then, I was warned not to order anything on line. Lots of shady characters out there.

Just for information sake. I ordered Saluda also from the store by credit card and downloaded and got the figure with no problem. Rob

more than likely it was either a incomlete download, bad crc's, or corrupted due to line line noise during the process of downloading, post a message in the Online store forum and they will fix you right up.

I have ordered literally hundreds of items on line from various vendors all over the net and I have never had a problem. I also think your alot safer using the credit card on line than you are handing it over to some zit-faced punk behind the counter at your local Block Buster Video. And far safer than giving out your credit card info over the telephone for something you saw on television etc... But thats just my opinion. The folks at Renderosity will resolve your problem there is no need to panic. You have a better chance of being robbed on your next trip to the local grocery store than over the internet.

I agree with Hydra, except I know a lot of zit faced punks at Block Buster that are pretty trust worthy too.

I have ordered dozens of items from this very store. I also ordered the Saluda character about a week or so ago. ALL, I repeat ALL, were downloaded with no problems. Now, today I have experienced various problems while trying to download or upload files both here and on other sites on the net and with network connections terminating. Like in your case, it is most likely a problem with congestion, noise, etc. It happens. I trust this site's store and Mehndi, Saluda's creator, enough that if they give me confirmation that you have ordered and PAID, I will burn it onto a CD and ship it to you! It is a good habit to allow the people you wish to do business with, online or elsewhere, an opportunity to resolve the situation before falling into a panic seizure and insinuating that they are "shady characters." Bad form, old chap.

Boy, this site sure generates a lot of loyalty. I suppose that that is in itself a pretty impressive character reference. The "shady character" reference was toward e-commerce in general, not this store in particular, Still it was ill-advised and I apologize. The fact is I had had an absolutely awful day and was mad at the world anyway. The empty file was pretty much just the proverbial straw. In just a few short weeks I've become something of a Poser junky, and you know how that sort reacts when they don't get their fix. Again, my apologies if I've offended anyone. I'll try another download today, and I promise to be considerably more sanguine about it all this time. Many thanks to all of you who went to the trouble of responding. It was nice to see.

jabe - If you back to our online store, you purchases remain available for download for 30 days under the "My Purchases" link. You can simply download it again. I'm sure if there were serious problems with the file we would have tarred & feathered by the gentle members before now. :) Also, we would be happy to provide you some independent business references if that would put you at ease.
